What is on my mind? Way too many things. It’s the season for family and friends, to celebrate and I don’t really feel into the holiday this year. The Christmas music blaring in the stores drives me crazy. I’ve begun to hate it, which isn’t quite normal for a catholic. I put up the work Christmas tree and it’s nice, but I don’t feel the pride that I normally feel after such a great feat. It’s artificial limbs stabbed and poked me. I ran out of ornament hangers so I used paper clips. Everyone that comes in the office smiles and sees the tree as beautiful and I just smile and continue boxing up files. Have I turned into a complete Scrooge? Seeing the Nutcracker helped me get into the spirit, but then it got lost in the midst of my life.
I’m going to try to have a better Christmas spirit. I will try.
